Lee Steger, Owner and Manager, of Premier Beach Rentals is a proud native of Amelia Island.  His love for the island, community, and family brought him home after years of working in the hotel industry.

Lee earned his degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University.  He worked in the hotel industry with Hyatt Hotels for ten years in several metropolitan cities.  Lee is a licensed realtor in the state of Florida.  He is also licensed in Florida for Community Association Management.

His experience was varied within Management of Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, Reservations, and Revenue.  His concentrations were in the roles of Front Office Manager and Housekeeping Manager with various hotels ranging from  300 – 1000 rooms.

Lee has had plenty of experience in the hotel industry that translates directly into property management.  As Housekeeping Manager, Lee led his team in a soft goods renovation for his 400 room hotel.  Also, he led his team in the opening of a 300 room hotel in Minnesota. Both of those experiences required keen attention to detail, organization, and proactiveness with both his team and numerous contractors. 

While Housekeeping Manager in Washington D.C., his department had the highest guest room cleanliness score that the hotel had achieved in over eight years. This was driven by the guest room inspection program and checklist that Lee implemented into his department.

During his tenure as a Front Office Manager, Lee’s best practices led his team to consistently hit or exceed the high goals for both Customer Service and Revenue while also setting some hotel records.  As Front Office Manager in Chicago, Lee’s team set a hotel record and ranked in the top 3 in their region for “Customer Service” and “Likelihood to Recommend” on the hotel survey.  

The most important lesson Lee learned in the hotel industry was the importance of providing a great experience for the guest(s) while being a good steward of the hotel property. 

Lee brings this experience and commitment to personalized service to ensure all guests will be comfortable during their stay and be able to enjoy all the beauty and pleasures of Amelia Island.
